My dad always said to me “Sadie! Why do you constantly zig when the rest of us zag?!!”
On the side of logic, to ask this of a prepubescent girl or teenage female is totally fair and balanced. But, contrary to growing out of my zigging, it has grown stronger in me. I might have zagged in my process of becoming human and learning about myself. I might have zagged to get along as my kids were growing up. But, I am a zigger when everyone else chooses to zag.
What is totally ironic is that dad was beyond frustrated with me, due to a trait which he had, in spades. If there was a monopoly of the refinement of zigging, Dad owned it. He questioned. He never followed the crowd or the rules. I now see, as I look back on little things, that he took great delight in not following the rules or downright breaking them in little acts of civil disobedience. In front of us kids. And, if he was called out on any of this behavior, he would question whatever authority told him he couldn’t do it, and they always backed down. ALWAYS. And, the older I become, the wiser he becomes. It is not the sainted wise of the dead. It is the active acts of the wise that I personally witnessed time and time again over the years. He was the original skeptical contrarian. Rules did not apply to him and he acted accordingly. Somehow he managed to not be a guest of the penal system and for that I am truly grateful. And I feel as if I owe my life to the genetic code of zigging that is inherently inherited from my dad.
So, what does all this have to do with eating meat, you ask? Well, it seems the United Nations is “urging Americans to reduce meat consumption” because they want to totally control us of climate change and cow farts. Ah…I call chem trails out for the climate change, but whatever. Seriously. I am going out to buy some beef today. I choose to zig. You should too. It will totally make them so mad!
So, how is my NOT eating meat going to end third world hunger? If I choose to not eat that juicy ribeye, will crops magically appear in the depths of a chemically altered atmospheric strato-bubble in Sudan? Right. Makes total sense. While they are in Doha at the COP28 Climate Conference, deciding the fate of ole Bessie and my breakfast ingredients, I urge my fellow carnivores to unite and give them the chicken finger.

United Nations Urges Americans To Reduce Meat Consumption For ‘Climate Change’
19 hours ago
An agency in the United Nations that aims to lead international efforts to defeat hunger is reportedly urging Americans to reduce meat consumption to beat “climate change.”
The UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) announced it plans to introduce a global food recommendation document at the Climate Change Conference COP28 at the Expo City Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates.
“The failure of leading meat and dairy companies to reduce emissions underlines the urgent need for more policy focus on the food and agriculture sector,” Jeremy Coller, the chair and founder of the FAIRR Initiative, recently said.
“Investors hope the first-ever publication of a food and agriculture road map at COP28 this month will catalyze the transition to 1.5 degrees and a more sustainable food system,” he added.
Coller said food system emissions represent an estimated third of greenhouse gas emissions and 40% of methane in the world.
UN officials have reportedly pushed for a plant-based diet to reduce an individual’s annual carbon footprint by up to 2.1 tons.
However, the University of California, Davis, published a study earlier this year that indicated lab-grown or “cultured” meat produced by cultivating animal cells is up to 25 times worse for the climate than natural beef.
“Currently, animal cell-based meat products are being produced at a small scale and at an economic loss, however companies are intending to industrialize and scale-up production,” the researchers wrote.
“Results indicate that the environmental impact of near-term animal cell-based meat production is likely to be orders of magnitude higher than median beef production if a highly refined growth medium is utilized.”

There are parallels to what is happening in the diamond industry. Lab grown diamonds were touted as the darlings of finished jewelry, especially engagement rings because they didn’t require pesky mining, even though the natural mining industry supports millions of people and whole communities of workers (I could go on and on).
But, labs take tons more energy to produce! Just like fake meat. That doesn’t matter to the virtue signalers.
Fast forward to today, the price has dropped so low on labs (like giant screen tv’s prices have dropped) those same virtue signalers can now get married with a 3ct stone. Such fakery. Yet they can’t pay off their student loans or afford a house. The whole thing is icky to me, kind of like the little bugs we’re supposed to eat.
When are they going to go after our pets? They fart too.
