My, how far we have come. From our first Christmas in England, where our golden retriever ate my homemade ginger bread men ornaments off the tree during the night (bodies only, he left the heads still hanging) to some pics of our trees through the years, along with random Christmas time pics. Merry Christmas to everyone.
“The Lord bless you
and keep you;
the Lord make his face shine upon you
and be gracious to you;
the Lord turn his face toward you
and give you peace.”
Numbers 6:24-26
Apologies for any boredom this post may have caused. Just thinking about the past. I don’t have a photo on hand of the 17 foot Christmas tree I made Hubs saw down in the forest and haul home. I have lived in 19 different places during my life and The Refuge is my spot. We built it ourselves and did 80% of the work ourselves as well. It was the dream of a lifetime. I know how to do far more than I ever wanted to know how to do, but I am all the better for it. I can miter wood, plow or blow snow, clear a clogged drain and just plain do it myself. And I did. We did. Blessings abound. Wrong turns have been taken and it has not all been rosy, but we continue to listen to the Lord and love Him and earnestly seek His plans for our life. If it wasn’t for Him, we would be in sorry shape. We are undeserving but forgiven, all because God sent His Son to be born on Christmas.
8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.. Luke 2:8-11
I want an after pic of the gingerbread man incident! Love you and have always cherished Christmas with you guys 😘
No boredom here! Enjoyed all of that. And blessings to you. Thank you for sharing.❤️🩹
