After weeks of endless speculation, conjecture and what-if’s, the CDC has now responded to the rumors of Mask Mandate Reboots and Lockdown 2.0.
This from The Epoch Times:
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has responded to speculation that the agency could be bringing back mask mandates on public transportation or in federal officials.
A spokesperson for the CDC told The Epoch Times on Aug. 29 that COVID-19 hospital admission levels “are currently low for more than 96 percent” of the United States, but that the agency recommended that transportation workers, travelers, passengers, and others get the COVID-19 vaccine “before they travel.”
“Anyone may choose to wear a mask in crowded or poorly ventilated indoor areas, including on public transportation and in transportation hubs at any time,” the CDC spokesperson said.
The agency also doesn’t currently have any mandate in effect, and the “CDC’s advice for individual and community actions around COVID-19 are tied to hospital admission levels,” the spokesperson said.
Earlier this week, a CDC spokesperson told NBC News that there have been no agency discussions about bringing back mask mandates, which comes as a handful of hospitals and offices around the country started reimposing them this month. There has also been speculation that federal officials may bring back mandates or even push for lockdowns, similar to what happened in 2020.
At the same time, the CDC hasn’t issued any updated guidelines regarding mask mandates on its website.
About a week ago, a report from Alex Jones’s InfoWars claimed that a high-level Transportation Security Administration (TSA) official, who wasn’t named, informed him that lockdowns and mandates would be coming back in the fall. That person cited discussions among agency officials as the basis for his claims.
However, a spokesperson for the TSA told The Epoch Times on Aug. 25 that those claims are false and that the agency “does not have any new requirements and there has not been any meeting on the topic.”
While the “TSA has authority to impose mask-related requirements to implement mask orders from the CDC related to transportation systems,” the “TSA is not imposing mask-related requirements at this time,” the agency stated.
Benjamin Haynes, a spokesperson for the CDC, told The Associated Press at about the same time that reports of upcoming lockdowns are “utterly false.”
Well. isn’t that good news? The CDC, that trusted agency, is not imposing mask mandates “AT THIS TIME”. Okay then. What does that even mean? Not a damn thing. “This time” could be in 5 seconds. Then, at 6 seconds, CDC/TSA mandate! And, who gives them the authority to mandate anything? I don’t. Thought they needed our consent to govern. Oh, right. This is a mandate or lockdown, it is NOT governing. So, they don’t need OUR consent.
So, does that mean we don’t have to resist yet? Was I premature in my exhortation to resist tyranny? What tyranny?? There is no tyranny here, you must be thinking of another country. Ahhh…let’s just put that resistance package in our purse and save it for later. Maybe tomorrow.
Ah, wait. The TSA has a vision of being an ‘agile’ security agency. Tentacles here, there and everywhere.
From TSA.gov:
Vision
“An agile security agency, embodied by a professional workforce, that engages its partners and the American people to outmatch a dynamic threat.”
(Emphasis mine)
It’s good to know they are getting in behind the rumors and quashing them before they have a chance to get out there into the light. Can I take them at their word that there will be no emergency mandates and lockdowns? Hahaha.
But, when they do come, and they will come…there will always be the pocket hoppers who gladly oblige and mask up. Not to mention taking the government’s word for the state of EVERYTHING. They will look forward, with a sick sado/masochistic anticipation, to the next announcement of TpTB. They will appease the puppet masters hand, which is up their backside and act accordingly.
Meanwhile, we all feel the shift in the wind. The hot air blowing out of The Swamp portends doom…even if that hot air is trapped inside the air bubble of Mitch McConnell’s faulty reboot and software update.
Apparently, the TSA genius, well-informed spokesperson actually does think that his/her agency has the authority to implement a "mask" order from the CDC, which a U.S. District Judge said they do not have under the Administrative Procedures Act. Wish my fellow citizens would try to keep up.
Judge Mizelle ruled and stated the following: "The Court concludes that the Mask Mandate exceeds the CDC's statutory authority and violates the procedures required for agency rulemaking under the APA. Accordingly, the Court vacates the mandate and remands it to the CDC."
So, does the TSA genius know of some other means within the APA that the CDC could use to issue another "mandate" so that the TSA could exercise its authority to carry out the order the CDC actually can't issue?
P.S. The APA rules for issuing a bullshit order like this are so stupid and cumbersome that if all these losers were to follow the rules for making the rules, DJT will be back in the White House hopefully taking a flame thrower to the place, as Al Pacino once said.
"even if that hot air is trapped inside the air bubble of Mitch McConnell’s faulty reboot and software update."
Thanks for the laugh - though you could be exactly right on the software update.
Yeah, the shift, we're feeling it. Nothing though is going to plan for the THEY. Thanks, SadieJay.
