California is on fire

It is hard to sit here and write this, but I have to do it to take my mind off my family in NoCal. The Park Fire in Northern California is currently at 350,000 acres. My brother, sister, nieces and nephews are under evacuation orders, as they live in Shasta County, directly in the path of this monster. My mom lives in the city of Redding. I grew up in Red Bluff and would go to camp just outside of Chico, at Richardson Springs, also known as The Springs of Living Water.

What supposedly started as some asshole pushing a burning car into a ravine is quickly spreading and is eating everything in it’s path. (Right…single cause?)

CAL Fire now estimates the Park Fire has burned nearly 350,000 acres as of early Saturday morning, which ranks the fire as No. 7 on California’s list of most acreage burned. But good news emerged in the weather forecast with cooler, more humid weather expected this weekend.

Local word has also come down from a reliable source in Redding that a band of zombies are streaming up the valley from Sacramento and it’s environs to wreak more havoc during this most apolcalyptic time. They are looking to loot the evacuated homes and perpetrate more evil.

I also find that all the pertinent emergency information that we need seems to go through Facebook. Payette National Forest wildfire information? See their FB page. Shasta County Sheriff’s Office Emergency information? See their FB page. What in the literal hell is going on? It is the only place to find information, except local online newspapers. Maybe. If you are lucky.

I also check flight radar and have seen many hot air balloons hovering over nearby fires, at 60,000 feet of altitude.

All the circles are stratospheric balloons.

There is so much going on in this world. Intense and growing. Making me feel small and helpless.

I will tell you that my spirit is deeply disturbed by all that I am seeing and feeling. We need to pray for this nation, for our states, counties and cities, towns and the citizens of this nation.

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

So, as I pray for this nation and her people, I ask that you join me…now. And every night at 8 P.M., no matter your time zone. Pray for this nation and all the nations around the globe, because we are in a fight for our lives and there is only One who can win this war against evil. It is GOD.
