Who else doesn’t have Twitter? I did have it..I signed up in 2010 because I heard that Delta would tweet out specials and I was planning a trip. Nothing came of that, so the bluebird fell by the wayside and I eventually I dumped it, before dumping was cool.
So, having never really been on Twitter, I do not know what I am missing, besides a new, harder hitting Tucker. Oh, and I missed the techno-SNAFU that was the DeSantis launch for president. (OMG…do we really have to listen to EIGHTEEN months of election crap now?)
I do like Tucker and his shows. I watched the monologues when they were relevant and watched his show when I would stay with my 95 year old mom in NoCal. Tucker literally made her day. And…I knew not to call her between 1800-1900 because it was ‘Tucker Time’. All of us kids called him her ‘boyfriend’. And…now, well it pisses me off that they made my mom unhappy. She does not compute either, so visiting her is like going back to 1980.
Twitter has been a story with all the ongoing drama of a soap opera. I currently look at the whole picture and see it as a stage for puppet masters to play out their games in front of an audience who can participate in the ‘story’.
The crowd can shout out ideas for plot pivots or in support of the scheme narrative. And, the key players are actors. If you think they aren’t, just look at the net worth of all the string pullers.
And…then look to the net worth of all the followers who comprise the audience. What is up with that? Manipulate much? Do you feel wielded? Well, you should. Because all of us are being wielded against one another and against everything they can gather up to divide us.
We are losing our human-ness. We are lunch. As soon as ‘they’ gobble us up, they will move on. Our job should be to make them throw us up.
I did think about rejoining the Twitterverse, but then I would be like everyone else. And, as my friends and family can tell you, I do NOT like to be like everyone else. So, Twitter, Elon and the Tuck will just have to go on without me. I refuse to join in the fray because talk is cheap and getting cheaper everyday, while the cream for my coffee is anything but…
As I battle to stand with my feet firmly planted on the ground, the ‘I Dream of Jeannie’ bottle full of Twits, FB/Instagram sex traffickers and ATOC (all that other crap) tries to suck me over the edge of the abyss into the fray. I refuse to fall for it. I really don’t need to know more. Isn’t it enough that I now have to give up BACON? Yeah, I am good with not knowing more.
As much as I would like to open the door and see what all the fuss is about, I am not going to…I really don’t need any more drama in my life. The bottle needs a good tight cork so nothing can escape. It’s going over the edge, not me.
Right there with you SadieJay! No twatterverse for me either. Don’t care. Like Tucker but not enough to follow the crowd. That is what usually gets us in trouble anyway…doing things just because everybody else is. Nope 👎🏻. I’m fine trying to afford the coffee creamer, and staying out of the fray. 😉
Oh you ain't (we ain't) missing anything. Twitter-less means you've got something better to do.💕
