My own recipe for a Happy Christmas

I was cranky. It was 2013 and I was talked into going to my good friends house for a Christmas girls get together. I missed my daughter. She went into the USAF in 2011. She was and continues to be my best friend. I was cajoled, threatened and shamed into going to the little “party”. Oh what a party it turned out to be. Everyone knew. Everyone there except me. And later in the video, her best friends were here to open their ‘gifts’ my daughter had sent them. As they were trying to move the pillows on my couch to sit down, there she was, waiting under the blankets. You can then see her getting to know her new neices. Turns out…it was The Best Christmas Present Ever.

Here is a an older video, but one that still makes me cry. Every single time. Like Marley and Me, only better.

Sorry about the quality…And I have since lost 60 pounds and also got glasses so no need to borrow any!

Our daughter made the leap from the enlisted ranks to Officer and along with her wonderful husband, also military, they are raising a great family with 3 wonderful kids. God Bless America and God protect our nation. And thank you to every single veteran, past, present and future.
