Who do you trust? Loaded question. But, if asked, I would answer…not one person completely. If we put our total trust in someone, it puts a huge burden upon that person. I do not want to be surrounded by people afraid to fail me just by being themselves. We are all human and prone to mistakes, misjudgments and human-ness. I trust my family and friends, but not with total expectation that they will satisfy MY idea of who they should be, how they should act and what they should do.
I used to trust the doctors. No mo’. I do not trust the media, social networking, my phone…and the list goes on. The Do Not Trust list is super duper long in my world.
I trust God. I know He has my back and His divine plan for my life is just as it should be. As we struggle to find our footing in this world full of evil, it seems as if traps are set everywhere. It is time to focus on what we believe instead of what we don’t.
Your God given gut instinct and internal conscience will tell you what you can and cannot believe. It is an ancient built in mechanism that man has so conveniently squashed over generations of discoveries and science.
I truly believe that man is the creation, God is the creator and the planet was created for us to live in harmony with our surroundings. Mankind is just plain ugly. All you have to do is drive into a city, say, Seattle for instance and see the creation of man. Then, you drive out of the city and see the creation of God; Mt. Rainier, the Olympic Peninsula and the breathtaking natural Godscape. Cities make me want to get the hell out of them…you know the story. And…the last 2 years hasn’t improved them one iota. Oh yes, it used to be fun to foray into the city for a great meal and entertainment. That was then….now, you dare not enter without a weapon. It is like that old movie Escape From New York.
The idea that the script of The Walking Dead had the character’s ultimate destination as the CDC in Atlanta is so laughable now. HAHAHA!!! They are the reason you are turning into zombies, you idiots! Run the other way!!!
So, it is time to get with it. Let’s start trusting our instincts. We can start small and work from there. Take care of ourselves and our bodies. Feed ourselves right, take care of everything God has blessed us with and love our friends and family. Trust that God has our backs, even when we feel up against the wall, He is still with us. He knows the end game and tells us to hang on no matter what. We have to give ourselves away in order for our cup to overflow. Hold fast. Hold steady. Mankind might rock the boat, but God calms the storm.
