Your essay title today made me smile for "here to here". Yes...we surely DO 'suck' and yet our Creator God loves us so much more than we can ever imagine or deserve. So....it is imperative we stifle the sour dispositions and find reasons to share His love, joy, hope, longsuffering - all the 'fruits of the Holy Spirit" with those we meet each and every day. Some days...that is IMPOSSIBLE (in our fleshly hearts and minds)....but He gives us more GRACE and HOPE that this world is NOT "all there is".

SHALOM, friend!

Amen and amen. Thank you Sharon. Nobody is perfect except our good Lord. I can only look to Him and ask "how much longer??". Sheesh. I am glad He loves me. THAT is the only true thing I do know. I loved it when Jimmy Carter's grandson read Romans 8:1-18, 37, 38 to that squirming funeral crowd. It was priceless.

I wish I had seen that Scripture reading at President Carter's funeral - so many 'powerful people' there who really have NO POWER except that granted by our Omnipotent JEHOVAH JIREH Creator God!!

Thank you for the pungent humor today, SadieJay!

Awesome. Yes, most people suck. Humans suck, dogs are great.

I’m from your era and I’ve always known this was coming. Something innately inside me always knew. And to see it unfolding both mesmerizing and terrifying. Keep praying and ammo up!

You sound like my kinda gal! Yes, it is hard to look away from and I keep wondering what is going to be next. Then I mess myself up by saying "Is it all really happening or do 'they' just want us to think it is happening? But, I know people who took the shot and are disabled or dead, I saw pics from a friend of my daughter who took off from Palmdale and took photos of the fires....I know that I know that I know!

Great post today. I laughed out loud when I read "The older I get, the smarter he becomes." Like so much good humor, the funny part is how it rings so true.

Isn't that the truth?? And it may be the only way people see the way forward. Memes can pack a truth punch as well. Thanks for reading.♥

I agree...greedy and materialistic people everywhere! Takers are always wanting more. I used to care, but having been punched in the gut so many times by others, I don't any more. Life has become much more by myself as I have learned I am the divine soul I was created to be, not the way of the world thinks at all! Joy, gratitude and contentment are my goals. 👍

Sounds like you are saying that you are in the world but not of it? My favorite person said that. And I agree. I can look at what is going on and be perfectly content that I can't do a thing but pray like there is no tomorrow. Those are great goals.♥

I just love what you write. A breath of fresh air. Made me think, ponder and laugh. I avoid X like the plague. TS comments are so harsh and mean I can’t even read them. Twitter used to be like that which is why I have avoided it. Maybe it’s time to meander over there. I’ll think about it.

Thank you! I go to TS for the news mostly. I can't interact with any of it. But they do have a Mexican Food Recipe chat, so I go to see naughty photos of Street Tacos when I can't take anymore.

Hahahahahaha 😂

I use TS for the news too and to verify what Trump actually says. But I might like to check out the naughty street taco pics.

Exactly. Because if Trump says something it is on TS first.

Everybody sucks except the wonderful people on Substack, trolls and chatbot trolls excluded.

Yep. There are good people out there. Everywhere. Somewhere. But, when one is fed up, one tends to generalize. Like I said, if we laugh and say "pretty much" then we are obviously not the ones who suck. Thanks for reading.♥

If I still had the family that I hid out amongst until the train sailed (I'm stealing that), I'd have your list printed on custom water glasses. The fact that I live today is proof that I uttered no scandalous bumper stickers. See you on X, which has become a good news source -- and not as mean, for the most part.

Uttered scandalous bumper stickers indeed. Haha. I don't know why I am still here and well. Alive and untouched, other than God's grace and His glory. Yes, if you find your tribe on X it is great. Truth Social is less diverse and I go there as well. I do not post, just scroll. And scroll. And scroll.

Well, of course, we laughed. Hubs loved it cuz he says similar all the time, which, of course, makes me laugh. "Well, not everybody, honey."

You know what else sucks? LinkedIn. They restricted my account yesterday -- again -- and you know what? I don't give a shit. This time. To get back on, you have to submit a request to their "Help" so their "Help' can 'splain you how you violated their professional something or others. Eff you. Pound sand, LinkedIn.

Might meander over to Twitter -- I mean, "X." Honestly, one of the dumbest names ever. It hurts my head, but so does much of the world today. Cuz everybody sucks.

Thank you!! Lol. Yes, it is all screwed up. If one take offense at the generalization of Everybody Sucks, then I can only surmise that they, themselves, do suck and it weighs heavily upon their soul.

You have such a knack for nimble story telling that manages to weave in human experience and faith.

(How does anyone manage without it I wonder? )

So enjoyed this, SJ. Always a good message with a couple of laughs. Thank you.❤️
