So I’m left wondering… Are they really allowed to come on your property and do this without your permission? What would happen if you told them “no” get off my property? That’s probably even more worrisome, that the govt can do whatever they want even on your own property.

It is the phone company doing it and we have landlines. That is how we get our internet. So, it's an upgrade! Yay! But, if the need should arise, I certainly know where it is buried and have a shovel. I am sure it is for my own good though, so no worries!

Well excellent point, they are advancing a larger agenda with these connections. Where o' where can I go and be left alone?
