Living in Florida means everything is so easily accessible and it is awesome. I can literally think of something (anything!) and it is within a few minutes grasp. I was super excited to NOT have to wait for orders to be shipped out and delivered to my rural abode. I switched to Ulta because they were ever so convenient to our place down here. Well, all desire to shop there went out the door on October 18.
Imagine my chagrin, when, after a purchase last weekend, Ulta comes out with a ridiculous podcast with two men talking about being a woman. One has a full on beard and long hair and the other identifies as a teen-age girl. If you haven’t seen the clip, it is here:

I watched this and it made me sick. Not just a little. A lot. COME ON!! Where are all the feminists when you REALLY need them? It is bad enough that men make more than women in most workplaces…but this? Appropriating womanhood to satisfy some sick perversion? Yeah, I get the fact that my measly purchases can never be more than men’s shopping carts when they are trying to look like me. So, obviously Ulta is catering to the clown show. They are kissing the butts of men. Real women were born with what we have and it can never be duplicated, no matter how many things are cut off and stuck back in with parts of arms. No matter how many boatloads of drugs you take to make boobs grow and facial hair NOT grow, I will still be a woman and you won’t. So, good luck trying to look like me, guys. YOU WISH!!
I really needed that shampoo, conditioner and eyeliner. DAMN. I wrote an e-mail to Ulta and told them I had a problem with that video. I told them I was taking my business elsewhere. Because this crap offends me and I am so sick of being offended. This is what Irene from Ulta wrote back:

Yeah. Pass it up the chain. But I am no loyal Ulta Beauty guest any longer. And the question really is, was I satisfied to just write an e-mail and let it go? I still had the bag and items I bought the other weekend. Was I ready to take it back to the store and tell them why I was returning? Hell yes. So, I did. It was a major inconvenience. And, the girl on the register asked the reason for the return and I told her this: “There was an Ulta podcast where two men were talking about being a woman and it offended me. I am sick of this kind of crap as a real woman and I will not be shopping at your stores anymore.” She had no idea about the video and I was very kind to her. But the question begs asking. When do we stop bitching about things that are wrong and actually eat the inconvenience and buck up? I did it today and it really sucks. I have lived in the sticks for SO long, and being able to walk to the grocery store or have food delivered is novel and I am loving it. So many places are putting woke politics ahead of their business model. I wish they would just shut up so I don’t have to cancel them. But, cancel them I have. I finally live in a place where almost anything is at my fingertips and I have to start weeding out the wokesters. I am on a quest to find the perfect playlist of places to spend our hard earned cash. There are so many to cancel and so little time…and just when the world was my oyster. And my shrimp. And my Grouper.
Couldn't agree with you more. Years ago I took one of my daughters to an Ulta for her first makeover, just to show her some natural makeup possibilities. We were next appointment in line behind a guy in drag who was having his make-up done - everyone was cooing and ahhing after him, it was stomach churning as I stood there with my middle school aged daughter. I don't know why women encourage this and act like it's brave or edgy or life-affirming to support this mental illness. Women who support this are meek, misled and easily coerced. This was over 10 years ago and we didn't push back then when we should have. It is so regrettable and damaging to young women.
It's all about the "global agenda" of the WEF - the "stakeholder" philosophy where corporations are now "graded" on their ESG policies (Environment/Social Equity/Governance). If they don't go along with the WEF's ESG policies they are "downgraded" on the various stock exchanges and their stocks will plummet. You see...it's not about "trannies"/lesbians/homosexuals/non binary/queers--it's REALLY about 'POWER AND GREED'. It's what "runs" this evil-minded world in which we all live (for now anyway).
