Couldn't agree with you more. Years ago I took one of my daughters to an Ulta for her first makeover, just to show her some natural makeup possibilities. We were next appointment in line behind a guy in drag who was having his make-up done - everyone was cooing and ahhing after him, it was stomach churning as I stood there with my middle school aged daughter. I don't know why women encourage this and act like it's brave or edgy or life-affirming to support this mental illness. Women who support this are meek, misled and easily coerced. This was over 10 years ago and we didn't push back then when we should have. It is so regrettable and damaging to young women.
It's all about the "global agenda" of the WEF - the "stakeholder" philosophy where corporations are now "graded" on their ESG policies (Environment/Social Equity/Governance). If they don't go along with the WEF's ESG policies they are "downgraded" on the various stock exchanges and their stocks will plummet. Remember that movie about black women who did math for arrogant white guys at NASA and it took like fifty years for anyone to find out about their contributions to the space program AND computers? They were literally called ‘computers’ and also developed methods for programming the first machine computers.
At that time, being the person who crunched the numbers and programmed the machines was *looked down upon*. I can’t remember the guys name at the time, but one said that women were just better suited to the work. Many women of different races made contributions to the birth of this field, but rarely is a school, a program or even a telescope named after any of them.
The much touted james webb telescope is named after a *program director* at nasa. Really? There were no women that would have been suited, probably with much larger contributions to science and astronomy in particular?
My point is that after computer programming and math became sexy, men all over decided women were not very good at it. Misogynists in Silicon Valley have written treatises on why men are now so much better at it to justify why they dominate the field and the salaries.
Why is the real reason? Imo, it’s because they hate it when we do anything as well as, or god forbid better than, them. Guys in my math classes were absolute jerks in high school and later in chemistry in college and later at work, as well. They hated that they couldn’t talk about something i didn’t understand to use as leverage to impress me or get in my pants.
Patriarchy is essentially the structuring of society so that women have difficulty providing for themselves and their kids so entire segments of men don’t have to learn to talk to or listen to women with respect to get laid/date/married/cohabit/whatever.
And girls in the 90s started believing that feminism was basically ‘done’, because we were told we were done. But upon entering the workforce, it was clear many men treated the work environment as a captive dating pool. Sexual harassment and sensitivity training replaced actual reprimands for sexist or racist behavior in the workplace.
A male colleague who was complaining to me on gchat one night about not getting enough attention from his architect girlfriend kindly offered to choke me with his huge dick, amongst other ‘activities’ he thought i might enjoy. Not surprisingly, I declined. I had it in writing, but who could I tell? HR? Not at that company. He later apologized but it took six months.
But women still don’t have an ERA! Rape is barely treated as a crime. There are tons of laws already protecting trans hurt feelings if we even just aren’t engaging in their fantasies and we are now discriminating against them? I’m sorry! Yes...stellar comment. I am of the mind that women live on the higher plane than men. There is nothing wrong with that, all you have to do is be in a functioning marriage to know that we are biologically/psychologically/intellectually different. We were made this way for a reason, to compliment each other in life and parenting and hunting/gathering. I have no desire to be a man and I am confident enough in my womanhood that I don't need to try. Where are the lesbians doing the adverts for Bob's Big and Tall stores??
