Yup. Same here. Right now, I'm on Brave, but only two pages open -- both yours! I normally have a bunch of pages open. Brave tells me it didn't shut down properly, but can't "restore" when I ask it to...Ugh.
If I close the page it doesn't like, then re-open, it works fine. Mercola and Babylon Bee are out. I went to settings and Shields and disabled the cookies box and the trackers and ads blocking. I need to figure out which one is causing the problem.
I just got on here to say my Brave is behaving weird too!! And now I see it’s not just us. Mine keeps trying to boot me over to google! I updated. Then I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and lost all my saved pages 😒. And still. I’ve looked at my settings too and still. Ugh.
It shuts down on its own too.

Yes! My open tabs keep disappearing too. It is maddening. I did a quick dive into who owns Brave to see what is going on. I don’t initially see a link between them and google or anything. I want to switch browsers as I’m tired of these games. But idk what other browser there is that isn’t owned by big tech criminals.
I went in to Settings and cleared my cache, saved sign-ons, and search history for seven days. It 𝒔𝒆𝒆𝒎𝒔 to be behaving now, but like you, I lost all of the open tabs that I very often would refer back to. So annoying. Not happy with you, Brave.
I like Brave for its privacy and ad blocking, but this "event?" Yeah, not so happy with Brave right now.
P.S. Seems that PooTube forces Brave to stop working. My other browser is Firefox, but know nothing about its privacy protections and it allows ads...
I know that it used to be when I let my mouse rest on the browser address bar it would say 'Chrome' down below on the bottom identifier. I have known that Brave was affiliated with Google for a long time. It doesn't do it anymore, but it sure as hell used to.

And...hit the little lion head in the address bar and click shields up or down and that will fix the problem. Then you can report it.
