Wow this is SO SPOT on! Oh one can second guess on the Trump failures - I tend to lean towards too much big picture focus and delegation to people he should not have trusted. With his ego I think he wants to live up to his image as a swamp buster, but I do think putting too much faith in him or any president is folly. That is the problem with voting for 'outsiders' - they don't KNOW who is trustworthy. And no one person is going to beat this - it's too big and too entrenched due to our inattention and allowing it to grow by deferring to gov to fix all that ails us as a society today. NO one can do this alone.

I see this on the local level. We elected 2 good conservatives to our city council in 2022 - both outsiders who paid zero attention until covid hit. One has an excellent radar and bs meter and she has done well navigating landmines. The other is more 'oh I just want us all to get along' and too naïve and trusting, although she does have some great ideas and insights - she gives up too easily and is too nice to her opponents. She refuses to see some of the backroom politics and hidden agendas in some of her colleagues. She twists in the wind with a smile on her face. She is a very nice person. But she is not who people voted for.

My point is - your job is NOT DONE when you leave the voting booth. And local is where you can have influence more often. I literally sit in the audience and text questions to the friendlies on the dais and they will ask them. I do research and give them talking points if they are in over their heads on an issue. I also send thank you notes when they do something right, and encourage my friends to do the same. These local folks don't get paid squat (city council makes $11k a year and it is damn near close to a full time job if you do it right, and school board pays NOTHIING) and have next to no personal lives as they also juggle families and regular jobs, and we do need to support them as much as we can. Even on a local level there is too much for any one person to take it all in. Meeting docs for just one meeting can run over 1000 pages. There is plenty to miss without our help.

Granted I am in a decent sized suburb and not a major city, so your results may vary. But if you are engaged - all cities have lots of these so-called 'public input' opportunities, committees, task forces, and so on where you CAN plug in. I have been going to such things for 20 years now and can tell you that even in a conservative (leaning these days, used to be solid) area, these groups are almost always overwhelmingly participated in by utopians/leftists/agenda-driven folks. Public input very rarely actually represents the public, who is too busy watching netflix or posting a rant on social media to attend a meeting.

Where we can go in my town is COUNTY wide. That is a great idea about the thank you notes, because it is truly a thankless task. My son is on the local school board, and due to our small size, it is an important though truly overlooked position. But, when you are surrounded by the like-minded, there aren't as many landmines. Great tips from you for starting local, because it is never TOO LATE. Thanks for all you do, even if it does feel like you are alone, I think by just being involved you give heart to people who might not have had the courage without your support. We can all learn from you.♥

Aw thanks. Even when it seems like beating my head against the wall might be more productive, it's in my blood. My dad was very involved in local and state politics and brought me along to lots of things growing up. He was a D but old school D - if he were alive today he would not recognize his party... When I changed sides in the late 80's I think he was disappointed but he still invited me to go with him to fundraisers and such since my mom was more of homebody and hated those kinds of things. I went, you could still have rational issues based discussions back then. You couldn't pay me to go to one today, except maybe as a spy :-)

No kidding!! There is no overlap of commonality anymore. SHUT IT because one word will cause people to go bat shit crazy. Don't ask, don't tell. The homos are out of the closets but the conservatives stepped right in to take their place!!

Oh I find a rational one at the doors from time to time. One on one some people are reasonable, but in packs, not sure I could hold my own. I love watching Micheal Knowles in packs of college students, wish I could be that good! I am better at writing when I can put thought into my words, on the fly, I think of a good comeback 20 minutes later!

Pack mentality is such a real thing in so-called humans. It really is amazing to observe.

I read this today and think it's a great accompaniment to your piece. (Props to Citizen Satirist - https://covidsteria.substack.com/p/bread-circuses-great-reset-humor-october-1-2023 for sharing it)

Interview with Tucker Carlson on a variety of subjects, but his take on Trump Excerpt:

Weltwoche: You landed a great scoop with your interview with former President Donald Trump, which went on the air just as the Republican candidates were holding their first debate on your previous channel, Fox. Back in 2018, when you and I first met for an interview, Trump had been in office for almost two years. And you told me your assessment that, at that juncture, "Trump is not capable" as US president. You referenced the border — he didn't build the wall enough — as an example. If Trump succeeds in making a triumphant return to the White House, do you think he can be effective?

Carlson: No. Of course, I don't know. I'd merely be speculating. I think his first term as president proved it's pretty hard to run an organization, millions of people, when most of them are paid to oppose you, which they are. There are unionized federal employees whose jobs depend on the other party. So, the system, itself, is pretty difficult for someone who seeks to reform the system.

At this point, however, they're trying to put Trump in prison for the crime of running against Joe Biden. I'm just speaking in my capacity as a voter. That's all I need to know.

Do I think if Trump were to take over, tomorrow, that he would make the CIA accountable to voters? No, I don't. Do I think he'd build a wall? I don't know. I hope so.

I know that you cannot allow, you absolutely cannot allow a political party to use our system of justice to imprison the president's chief opponent. You can't do that. That's just absolutely not allowed.

From my perspective, that's what this election's about. Are we going to allow that, or aren't we? And I just don't think we can.

1,000,000% spot on! IMHO, we are watching Chapter 17 of the book of Revelation play out...all these world leaders (politics and technocrats) are all just vying to be 1 of the 10 “horns” (kings) at the NWO leader table! So in other worlds, if anyone is following anyone besides God...you are wrong! #ChooseTodayWhoYouWillServe

Well done Sadiejay!

I do wish our president would humble himself but I'm not sure he is capable? For sure "DJT is the most lied too and lied about president" in our countries history. God is the answer.

Exactly...he does have a right to be full of himself for certain things. The ladies get all worked up, calling him a pig and everything. But I didn't vote for him to be my husband.

Yes, I got a little carried away with my wording and I knew it when I wrote it, but it got the message across. I will check it out, thank you so much.
