I do not have a problem with women wanting to be wives and mothers. What I DO have a problem is when that becomes the template for ALL women. Not all of us will get married, not all of us will or can have children. We don't want to be denigrated any more than women who stay at home with their children want to be denigrated. Whether you go to law school or not should be your choice and your choice alone. You shouldn't feel put down because you chose not to go, but neither should you elevate yourself above the woman who did go. There are times when looking around at my sister women I feel very much like Sojourner Truth: "Ain't I a woman?" She didn't fit the stereotype of her day, and we are all so much the richer because she didn't.

We are all unique. I love that. So different. Blessed to be able to take different paths and rock at whatever we do...because a woman is the iron. I watched that What is a Woman. I know it came out a few years ago, but the fact that people couldn't/wouldn't define what we are was just so ridiculous. What is a woman? Not a man. How is that for a start?
