Have u seen a warning sign at political gatherings saying “Don’t take medical advice from a politician, bureaucrat, or media personality”

That would actually be a helpful sign.

I have not seen that! It should be mandatory. Just like "I am not an actor, but I play one on TV".

Back when I was a young man we even had a rock n roll song about "signs signs everywhere a sign". I think we can add labels as another verse?

So funny… and scary… that people need these warning labels. Then again I’m still baffled by whoever started eating tide pods leading to increased safety packaging (as if an extra layer of plastic keeps kids/people from opening the bag) and warning labels not to eat them. 🤦🏼‍♀️ How stupid are people?

Sometimes I wonder if anybody really actually was eating these tide pods or was it a way for the govt to add more layers of regulation to bleed companies of even more money? All these regulations for “safety” purposes take profits out of businesses bottom lines. Can’t tax a business more…. Let’s add on more regulation for pretend stupidity and keep the people from being profitable!

Probably a little of both? Many are stupid, and the government is bloated.

And that is assuming that people can read, or read English . . .

Before I retired, I worked in a plastics factory. Some of the parts required assembly with other parts after they were produced. There was one part in particular that had to be put in a hand press. Well, some idiot stuck his finger in the hand press and slammed the lever down on it one night. He said "blood was spurting all over." Duh. First of all if the kid had been doing what he was supposed to have been doing, this wouldn't have happened. Several of us who regularly worked that press tried to "re-enact" the incident (without slamming the lever) and concluded that we didn't have a clue as to HOW he managed to do it, because under normal circumstances it was practically impossible to get your finger caught in that press UNLESS your finger was where it shouldn't have been which, again, was not something that would "just happen", you had to go out of your way to MAKE it happen. After that management put a warning label on the press: "Ensure clearance before pressing." Like, WTF? This is a FACTORY, folks. People here don't use such high-faluting words. Some of them don't even speak English that well. "Keep your f***ing fingers out of the f***ing press!" would have been much more on their level. Oh well, as Einstein said, there's only two things that are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and he wasn't so sure about the universe.

Hahaha I love ALL of these! We laugh and laugh and laugh whenever we spot them here. I also got a new iron a couple of years ago and it had a warning that said “Do not use on clothes while wearing them.” Similar to the one on your new iron. We guffawed about that one. I regret not keeping that tag to this day!

Local honey is what I use for allergy control as well and it WORKS!

Thank you, my dear Sadie, for this afternoon pick-me-up.

Y’a can’t fix stupid and a warning label probably won’t save it from itself either! 💗

Sometimes you can't always hit the hard notes. We still have to live and laugh until the good Lord takes us to a better place. Can't always focus on the doom and gloom...it will mess you up!♥

I agree completely. We must stay informed, but we are called to live our lives, ultimately.
